It All Began with Prayer
Seven x 7 was created to transform a community with the healing power of Christ through street-level outreach, evangelism and revival to touch the lives of men, women and children who are hurting, addicted, imprisoned and lost.
May 2007- God delivered a vision for the revival to Rev. Louis M. Murphy, Sr., of Mt. Zion Progressive Missionary Baptist Church. For the remainder of the year, he held one-on-one and small group meetings to share the revelation with fellow clergy.
January 26, 2008 - Senior Pastors from across the City came together to discuss the possibility of uniting for community-wide revival and crusade. They agreed to proceed..
February 2, 2008 - Their hopes were answered, as Seven x 7 clergy entered 90 days of “unity prayers” to build and heal relationships among them.
April 26, 2008 - Seven x 7 made history with the first-ever interdenominational Prayer Walk for Pinellas over the length of the Pinellas trail with walkers from 60 churches (the day also marked the completion of the Pastors’ commitment to 90 days of prayer).
May 1, 2008 - Seven x 7 hosted the first National Day of Prayer commemoration in
May 17 through June 24 2008 - In preparation for a summer of outreach, Seven x 7 volunteers completed two “Let’s get AMPED” training sessions to “amp up” their service to the mission. Two hundred volunteers, led by 30 pastors, put “Boots on the Ground” to reach over 1,000 homes in the
August 24, 2008- Attendees say the roof raised off the building at the Sunday’s Seven x 7 Consecration & Prayer Service, attended by 40 of the 49 clergy slated to lead the massive revival in September. Judging by attendance, the Seven x 7 crusade has already attracted a small army of believers.
